The Cheese #36 🧀 - Brownies, Pizzas, and Keynotes

A week full of takeaways and memories...

Typing from 33k feet

Currently on a plane headed home from San Diego. Commerce Roundtable was an absolute blast. It was great to see so many people that I had not seen in a couple of months (in person).

Myself (and the rest of the ASOM Pod) stayed an extra day so that we could record a batch of episodes (that gets us through November with content). Had some great guests on 4 of the episodes (Curtis Matsko and Kevin Tighe to name drop 2 of the 4).

On the Whatnot front, we are on track for a new monthly record with 9 scheduled shows left. With one of our hosts out for over 2 weeks and BattlGames slowing down our quantity of shows for a week… a new record did not seem like an easily achieved goal half way through the month. Cameron locked in and came up with a plan and seems to be executing it flawlessly.

Membership side of the business is still going well. We have grown the membership by around 12% in the last 30 days and are now moving into ‘maintain mode’, not able to grow it past our current levels currently. Why? Because the products in our box are almost always manufactured runs (nobody has the inventory we need sitting on a shelf). We reached out to all of our upcoming box partners to see if we could adjust up the quantities planned but have now adjusted them all up to the ceilings of reality.

Diet? I've been eating like a carb savage for a full week now. Made some fudge brownies with a peanut butter cream cheese frosting and some blueberry cream cheese muffins two days before I left and then the day before I left, I made 3 pizzas. Obviously continued the savagery in San Diego with more pizza, some burgers, tacos, and candy. I'm guessing, with the water weight addition, I'll possibly weigh over 140 when I get back home.

Let's get into the rest…

Whatnot Playbook

I did a dry run of my Commerce Roundtable keynote on this week’s episode of ASOM (recorded last week). In case you were wondering, my actual slides were way nicer than these for the conference (shout out Caitlin for leveling them up).
