The Cheese #14 🧀
Another week in the books for 2025. Let’s hit some highlights!
Could not talk about as part of the agreement with Montana Knife Company (MKC), but last Friday we launched a secret drop custom MKC knife for our BattlBox members. It was our first working with MKC in any capacity and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Hoping this is just the start to the relationship.
On the BattlBox front, we are about to launch a test on AppLovin. I was hesitant on the concept but a friend told me that outdoor brands are seeing a good amount of success. They give a free $10k in ad credits to any brand doing over $10m in revenue a year. Part of the deal is that they also give $3k to the referral. I say all of that to say that is pretty aggressive acquisition costs for new clients. Applovin is really trying to penetrate the DTC space!
TikTok and Amazon are both on track to land around $100k each for the month. Excited to see this being the new possible baseline for both channels, but also need to figure out how we scale past that!
Tariff uncertainty continues to be a major topic. Many of our vendors are affected by this so we might have a challenging few months ahead as we navigate sourcing products for the box.
On the personal side, I feel like my house is falling apart. It’s hitting the youthful age of 30 years old this month and it's celebrating it’s birthday month by requiring large amount of TLC. Roof repair, Stucco repair, and HVAC repair have all occurred in the last 2.5 weeks. But we arent done, deck repair is on the docket for next week!
The keto update you were waiting for? Down to 151, which means we have hit the 30 pounds lost mark! In Miami next week for Commerce Roundtable so the goal will be to not eat more than 3 pounds of pizza.

BattlGames is happening this September (9/10 - 9/13) in Savannah.
We are currently 37% sold out so there are still great opportunities for both brands and B2B companies. Feel free to shoot me a note if you are interested. You can see more here:
