The Cheese #13 🧀
Well, these potential tariffs have made the week an interesting one for many!
Lot of uncertainty and conversations on future planning. I think everyone is ready to see how this ends up shaking up.
April is off to a slow start for BattlBox with our website sales being down about 20% compared to this period last year. The silver lining is that both Amazon and TikTok are both already over $30k for the month as they continue to validate that they are 7-figure sales channels for us.
BattlGames 2025 planning is in full effect which is fun and exciting to see. We increased the budget for the event to $212k this year (we spent $134k last year) so hopefully we can bring on the needed sponsors this year to ensure we break even. We are currently 32% to plan so have some major work to do. This year we opened up the Tier 4 sponsorships to B2B companies since it’s a great networking opportunity with 20 decently sized outdoor brands attending.
On the Keto front, because I know you are curious, I am down to 153 pounds. Lost 27.6 pounds so far, ideally another 20 to go, but I probably need to start some kind of actual physical fitness routine to accomplish this. I have until June 1st to get there, so time is ticking!
Sad that I am missing ChargeX (Recharge conference) next week, but with Commerce Roundtable Miami the week after and still navigating the world with a 1 year old, it just was not possible to make it happen.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Shocking Truth: How the Rising Costs of Meta Advertising Are Squeezing DTC Brands in 2024
If you rely on Facebook for most of your acquisition, you are likely not a member of the ‘Small CAC Club’. I break it all down here.
The Importance of SaaS Companies' Pricing Strategies: Why Price Hikes Alone Are a Losing Game
As the costs to acquire customers continue to soar and margins become tighter, many SaaS companies think the solution is to simply raise their prices! Fun times! Check out the full article here.
Do you know why people hate going to events?
As you read this, Commerce Roundtable is only 14 days away. If you aren’t going (as a brand), there is still time (I believe all SaaS/Vendor tickets are already sold out), Jimmy breaks it down here and also gives a little bit of insight into the conference and concept in general. Catch all the details here.
The Cheese is Served, and It’s Time to Share the Fun! 🧀
